Does anyone out there by chance know the weight of the stock LR Disco Brush Guard off a 97 Disco? Has anyone ever shipped one and if so, what was the cost? Thanks...

I don''t know the weight. But I'm assuming you're asking to get an idea what it'll cost to ship one.

If that's the case: Ship via Greyhound. They charge by the item, not the weight.

I shipped my wraparound-style stock one from Minnesota to a guy in CT or MA or VA (I don't know, somewhere on the East Coast) for $27.

All I had to do was tape some bubblewrap around the sharper edges of the guard. You don't even need to do that. I just did 'cause I didn't want it to show up banged and nicked.

And FYI: In case anyone's wondering, the LR Adventure Rack is just slightly too big to fit in a bin underneath a Greyhound. If I could only ship one of those suckers cross-country for $30...

I had an adventure rack shipped to me via ABF trucking for $80. Not bad considering the size.
Although I too need to ship the bumper/A-Bar/winch so I checked on ABF and it came to $240! Anyone know any other way?

it's pretty heavy - enough to elicit an "umph" when you dead lift it. I'd say about 55 lbs.

I bought one from RoverConnection.com for a '99 Series II and had it sent Greyhound from Salt Lake City to Ft.Lauderdale for $65.

Put the sucker on a scale the other day. I also have huge pythons, so it feels like about 10 lbs to me.
