Hey again,
Yet one more problem with my beloved Disco.. when the A/C is running sometimes it just stops for a moment, blower and all. To date this usually lasts no more than 30-45 seconds then everything kicks back on. I have not a clue what this could be.. Please give me any advice that you may have.. Thanks again.. RS

Mine does that too, just jiggle the switch next time and see if that helps. It seems like its a common problem with them.

My '97 D1 did this and the dealer replaced the switch under warranty. It actually did this when the vehicle was fairly new.

"Jiggle"?

My blower stoped the other day. I had been " jiggling":) the switch for about 2 years now. I just pulled the control panel out took out the switch and dissassembled it. The contacts are metal of course and the housing is plastic. The metal had slightly melted the plastic and got stuck. I could have bought a new switch but wanted to see how long it would last by sanding all of the contacts and greasing the slide mechanism.
Time will tell on this experiment.

My 97 does this as well. Just jiggle the switch.

same thing happens to me on level 3 fan speed....... jiggle seems to work. Although, it hasn't done in a while.

Sometimes, if the mood strikes me, I like to 'Jiggle it, just a little bit' Thanks for letting me know that I'm not alone.. If it wasn't a Disco, I'd swear that its a Kia or something with all my problems:) Thanks guys.. RS
