I got a bow shackle and put in on my receiver. It bounces around and makes all kind of noise. Do I need a different bow shackle or can I use washers or something to stop the noise? |

people steal them...take it off put it in a secure box in the truck till you go wheeling then the sound won't bother you |

Don't leave it in there or someone will steal it. Yes, get some spacers or washers, work just fine. |

Try wrapping one layer of electrical tape on the arm of the shackle. Works for me... |

I tried to find a hitch pin lock but, so far, none have a shaft long enough to compensate for the sloping box above the square tube of the hitch. Has anyone found a lock which will work... so I can leave my shackle or hitch light in the tube and slow down thieves. To quote someone else "locks only keep out honest people." Mark |
