Hello all
I know this a dumb question and already talked about. But anyhow. My exaust is gone. Which muffler is the resonator? The small one in the rear or the big muffler a little farther back in the center of the truck. The thing is I dont want to spend alot of money. I heard that you can get rid of the resonator. I dont know which one it is though and I would like some more input. I was going to order a flowmaster muffler, but they dont have it on there web page for a disco. Anyone know where I can get it or a part number. I am in Canada. And maybe give some input on my situation.
Thanks alot
Jeff

Also, does it screw up the o2 sensors?

the O2 sensors screw into the cats. and depending on what year you have you either have 2 or 4. you can crawl under your truck and have a look. your cat converters are located towards the front of the truck below the tranny.
you don't 'need' the very rear resonator. i took mine off, since it was in the way at times and was in bad shape anyhow. just had a 18" section of pipe put in its place.
don't have a part # or anything for the flowmaster. i am sure someone on here may have that. there is a 40 and 50's series. one is louder than the other.
with the resonator off i don't notice much of a noise difference. if all that is bad is your resonator (which usually goes first) i would just cut it off and slap a new piece in.
cheers.

I've got a 50 Series with no resonator and I think it sounds great. The 40 Series is the louder one.
