I've got a basic repair manual that says to remove clock I got to 1st remove the Dummy switches from underneath clock, ok I do that , then it says, to reach in and unclip the clock and with draw it. Yeah, but I am having no luck, how do ya remove it, is there some secret clip of something that I don't know about,? Can any one help before I end up trying to force it and do damage. |

I have a 97 and had to remove the clock to replace the bulb. I just took a small screwdriver from the left side and pryed it out. I used some force, but nothing that broke anything. Then did the same thing from the other side, and pulled the unit out once I could get a grip on it. It came out along with the hazard switch and the LR logo. When you are trying to get it out it seems like something is going to break, but as long as you be careful it won't. Hope this helps. |

a small putty knife will also do the trick, just remember, forceful yet very gentle. |

Geez guys, Brute force Eh? And I thought most dash stuff on Discos were fragile and was worried about damage, thanks for the hints. I'll give it a go, if I don't succeed I give it to the local dentist for extraction. LOL |
