My sister has a 97disco and she also has 3 boys who are large enough to require the "booster" size car seats. Has anyone out there been able to fit three of these larger car seats across the back seat? If so, what make and model of car seat did you use? Thanks in advance for your help! She doesn't want to have to buy a Suburban! Pat 96disco |

I would use 2 (1 on each side) and strap the third kid in the middle using the stock lap belt only. |

Based on my experience there is not enough room in a d1 for three child seats in the back. The wheel arches get in the way. |

if you use the Britex boosters no problem just saw one next to us the other day at the store with two boosters and one full size britex in it. my daughters britex fits on the narrow seat and I can fold the other seat up and down with it there. also theres no safer car seat in the world then Britex...when you strap the seat in the feel like they are welded to the frame. and they have a styrene layer like a motor cycle helmet that absorbs huge shock loads that kill a kid by bruising there internal organs. also the 5 point harness is first rate. no wonder they make the oem sold seats for MB and Volvo that match your cars interior. |

Whatever you do, DO NOT use a center seat lap belt only. A couple of months ago, one of the networks aired a child seat safety program and in it they showed how easy it was to injure a child wearing only a lap belt. The force from a sudden impact can cause a violent collision between the skull and knees. Just my thoughts - from someone who doesnt start the car until both of my daughters (in booster seats, DII) are belted in. Visit the Crash Test Results" in the non-technical disco discussion to view some pics of a violent crash involving a Disco. All passengers and young children were unhurt. |
