How big can you reliably go on stock (24 spline)disco axles ?. I have twin Arb lockers and have just ordered maxidrive low range gears so with 56:1 low low can drive some bigger tyres. Typical terrain is mud driving. John D |

I don't think I would go beyond 33x12.50 or 34x10.50 on stock axles. -P |

Yes John, but the low range reduction and tire upgrade will change all that. 56:1 for mud? If you are determined to run the factory 24 spline stuff, I would at least have them cryo-treated... I broke non treated 24spline stuff way too often with 33x12.50x15's w/4.11:1 diffs and factory lowrange... fwiw- Craig |
