I was doing a part search today online and I found something that might be interesting to a few people. AutoZone (www.autozone.com) is now carrying the front calipers for the Discos ( I looked at the D1). They list for $43.99 ea rebuilt with a $60 core charge. Also they are carrying a lifetime brake pad for $27.99 PN's caliper 12-9029 LH 12-9028 RH Pads MDK520 Rear Rotors 34049 ($54.99) They are also planning on carrying the front rotors soon. I hope this helps someone. DonC 96 SE7 |

I thought so esp since I priced the rebuild kits. I would rather just place a new one on. The cool part was the lifetime warranty. (esp on the brake pads) free replacement for life (while you own the car). I have used that on my other cars. Just show up with the old ones and you get a new set free of charge. I looked around the web site some more. An alt for $179 and a starter for $129 (if i remember correctly). It is nice to see the part places finally carrying some more items for the Disco. The only draw back I see is that they have to oder it but they said it would only take a day to get them in. I hope to see more stuff coming out here soon. |
