I recently noticed that my Disco has a faint squeling sound whenever I press the gas and ease off it. It also occurs when going 45-55mph. Any ideas of what it may be? It might be the serpentine belt, but it also squeled when in neutral. I should also mention that this all happened when I put Z-max into my Disco a couple of weeks ago. The shit(Z-max) worked for about a week, but proved useless afterwards. Any ideas? |

Mel, if you don't know when the belt was last replaced, start with that. Then try and pinpoint the squeal. Is it coming from the waterpump, the belt tensioner, or some place else? If you can provide a more specific diagnosis, I'm sure others on the board will be able to help out. |

Moe, The sound mysteriously went away after I changed my oil today. I guess I had bad oil. Thanks for the help though. |
