OK, a not-so-hypothetical question. By a strange series of circumstances, I have a brand new set of Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires size 305/70R16, a 33" tire. not only are these tires tall, but they are wide, 8-9.5" rim width and section width of 12.2. FYI, the same tire in a 235/85r16 (31.9" tire) has a rim width of 6-7 inches and a section width of 9.2, which of course will fit under a disco with a 2" lift and minor mods. Assuming I have a bone stock 96 SE7, what is the best game plan if I want to try and put them on. I was considering a 2"lift, 2" body lift, brake lines, gears, body trim, wheels, etc. And what about some more HP under the hood? Thanks Former_Dodge_fanatic |

2in lift and a sawzall will get them in there. Tom P. has 33x 12.50 swampers on his truck just copy what he did. 3in lift some trimming etc. Ron |

I also run 33x12.50's. There will be some trimming - I would imagine that is unavoidable. But if you are gonna try fitting those 305's to stock alloy rims, you will lose a lot of turning radius up front - just not enough offset. Oh - gears would definately be nice with that size tire, assuming you want to drive WITH traffic instead of just imitating the TYCO Jam Car on the slot track. |
