Bought a 2001 Disco II a few months back. In a moment of temporary insanity, I had the dealer add a factory CD changer (LRNA is very proud of that thing!). I would much rather listen to my CD's than what is on the radio, so I could not imagine not having a CD player. While the CD player functions perfectly, I miss being able to play any CD I want on the spur of the moment. Can I get an in-dash stereo/CD player that will work with the Land Rover CD changer? I realize that I will probably loose the steering wheel radio controls, but I don't find that I use them all that much anyway. |

Steve, You can keep the steering wheel controls with an aftermarket head unit. If you buy a CD player with a remote, you can interface the steering wheel controls. The converter that I have in my '01 DII is made by PAC. It has an IR source mounted in the console just under the door on the storage area. Works great. Any good installer can find this converter kit. Greg B |

The Nakamichi CD-45Z in-dash AM/FM/CD Player has a 13 pin plug that is an exact perfect match with the factory CD changer so you can have your in-dash CD player and still control your LR changer. Greg |
