Yesterday a friend and I installed new OME shocks and springs in my Disco II. For anyone thinking of doing it themselves, go for it. It was a simple and straight forward process. Total time was about 5 hours and that included running out a couple times for some tools (my collection was very limited). All you really need is a nice metric wrench & socket set and a T-40 Torx Bit for the sway bars (not to mention a floor jack and stands). I had rented a spring compressor when I couldn't get the rear to drop far enough to replace the new springs but it didn't work anyway as I couldn't get it into the springs (you are supposed to drop it in from the top or bottom of the shock tower but the rear doesn't have an openings). We ended up removing the brake lines to allow the suspension to drop further.

Now time for the new 265/75's.

Rob
