In my quest for a mounting kit for a Gentex mirror I came across a source for the 'plain' auto-dim mirror.....$99. I see them go all the time on eBay for $100-150. They also have the one with the temp/compass for $249.

My '94 had a mirror that did not use the GM style 'button' that glues to the winshield so I needed to purchase one for $5 from mitocorp. I was also changing the front windshield (cracked) and re-lining my headliner (dirty beyond cleaning) when I installed the mirror so it was simple to wire up the mirror and mount it on the new window.
Do the newer Discos come pre-wired for the dimming mirrors? Anyone?
Also, when I last spoke to mitocorp they said they are going to start selling a gentex with dim/temp/compass/map lights for $299. That would be nice. |
