Can anyone point me to, show me (pic) or tell me where I can find the "detent grub screw/spring" on the DII Transfer Case?

On a DI (it should be the same on a DII if you in fact have a detent grub screw/spring for the differential lock) it is located on the front output housing. Looking at the front pinion where the drive shaft attaches it is on top on the drivers side closest to the back flange where the front output housing mates to the main casing.

Thanks Ron, aqny chance you may be able to take a pic of it's location?

I'm having a tough time determining which nut it is...

The one farthest in, closest to the back flange where it bolts to the main case.

If someone tells me how to post PDF I can put up a pic.

Is there a way to put more pressure on that spring? When I'm in low range with cdl locked, from time to time the cld comes un-locked on it's own. I have a DII with a manual cdl locking lever from Topline (Adam in Oz)

Humm,

You sure it is not just that the nut is not turned sufficiently that engages the CDL? what you are decribing is a potentially serious situation as that is not good for the dif in the t-case to be like that.

I am not really sure what the dentent does relative to the engagement lever. I would check the external linkage first and see if it is allowing it to enage all the way before I messed with the detent.

Maybe post another thread and see if someone else has any ideas on the problem.
