I have an SLS (Self Leveling Suspension) warning light that needs to be shut off. The system was removed in favor of a conventional coil-spring suspension. Anyone know the color of the wire--under the dash leading to the SLS warning light. |

The Electrical Library says that the SLABS ECU provides the warning lamp output from pin C0655-8 (connector 655, pin 8) on a WO colored wire, which is probably white with orange stripe. It connects to the instrument pack via pin C0233-2 (connector 233, pin 2). Connector 233 is a black 16-pin plug, and hooks into the top left of the instrument cluster. Connector 655 is black 12-pin plug that attaches to the SLABS ECU. There are five plugs that hook into SLABS, and it's the only 12-pin one (it's either the fourth or the second connector in the row, depending on orientation). A bunch of the ECUs are mounted behind the glove box, and SLABS is black with "WABCO" embossed in the case. It's pretty easy to get to the ECUs. I would imaging it's a bit harder to remove the instrument cluster. If you need any more help, let me know. murph '99 DSII |

you can also just change the setting in the slabs ecu from sls to coil springs, this will shut off all your lights without disconnecting anything.you will have to do this at the dealer because you need testbook. |
