I just noticed today my brake lights seem to be always on, when the rig is turned on. I know their could be endless reasons, but what are some of the more significant ones? Thanks. |

Have you changed a brake light bulb recently? Just a couple days ago, I replaced a brake light/driving light. My brake lights were always on when the driving lights were turned on. Turns out I bought a single wattage bulb instead of the dual wattage thus it caused all the lights to be on. Your problem might be different. I remember reading something on here about a brake light switch. |

Is that backup light switch on? I noticed when it's left on while in drive, it makes the brake lights go on. Mosi |

Nope, as soon as I turn on the car, the brake lights are on. Haven't changed any bulbs nor poked around any switches. All three including the high mount light are on. As though I was standing on the brakes.. |

Probably a stuck break light switch. |

Ah, Nix may last reply. Wouldn't the brake lights be on all the time even with the ignition on if it was a stuck brake light switch. Do you maybe have you rear fog lights on? Even these should just come on with the front fogs. Sorry for not being able to help. |

Apparently, it was the opposite, a loose brake light switch under the driver footwell. Switch fell out, and the lights default to staying on. Thanks for the replies.. |
