Hello All, OKay, we all have or will experience the cracked rubber seals around the rear side windows, and rear door window. How hard is it to pull these windows and replace the seals. Should I just take the seals to an auto glass shop and have it done, or should I do it in my driveway? Any tips if the later? Thanx... ~Scott T. |

Remove the plastic around the windows in the back and grab the thick rubber lip and flip it up while pushing out on the glass. Work around it and the whole thing pops right out. TO get it back in I use some parachute cord and drop it in the groove in the seal. I run the cord all the way around and put the two ends inside the truck. Then have someone hold the glass gainst the truck with the seal centered and slowly pull one end of the cord while keeping the other from moving. Work the seal around slowly pulling it back onto the body using the cord to help.... Its a snap... Much easier then my explanation of it.... Kyle |

DI by the way. I believe that you have to have your DII serviced by an authorized service centre if you have DII windows. |

Not sure since I own a DI, but I believe the DII doesn't use rubber seals. I think the rear side glass and Alpines are "glued" in like many windshields are. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong... Kyle, do you use any kind of sealant when installing the rear glass on a DI? David |
