Depends on your tires and such.

Generally......you can go down to 8-10PSI. You'll be safe at 15-20psi without losing your bead. Again, depends on how you're gonna offroad. If you are just cruising along the beach...........15psi should keep you out of trouble.

Yup, just cruising. The tires are Dunlop Rover RT's..

Dave,

Earlier this month at Assateague Island, I ran my Bridgestone Dueler AT's at 22psi and did not have one problem. The depth and type of sand ranged from rock hard at the water line to a foot deep back by the dunes. I could hold 35 mph now problem, however I think the fish people did not like me carrying that speed.

The freelander in our group had more issues! :)

Dave, I do a lot of surf fishing in NJ and run in the sand all the time in my Disco. I have found that 15 lbs. is about right. Any higher and your engine will have to work a bit harder, any lower and you'll have problems once you're off the beach and heading to the air station.

Bill,
Where in NJ are you fishing?
