Rover is making the shrill beeping sound while the car is going, the T case is not in neutral, but that is the sound it is making, like it is in neutral. I did it for a hour and half in traffic this evening. Is it a switch? or what? How do I STOP it?

Thanks

an hour and a half? I would have jumped out of the Disco while it was moving after 2 minutes...

while stopped, put gear selector in neutral, and re-shift the tcase from 4 hi to neutral, 4 lo, back to neutral, back to 4 hi etc. Then gear selector back to drive/reverse/whatever. The beeeeeeep should go away if you rework the linkage a bit. If it doesn't go away, then pull the damn sensor. Others should be able to tell you how to rid yourself of the sensor - my beeper stays on sometimes, but always goes away with a little re-shifting.
