I was planning on going with the typical 2" OME lift and was wondering what size tires I fit with out cutting the body work. I suppose the 235.85-16 are just too large? I was hoping to just increase my ground clearence. Also, is it possible to remove the front air spoiler (to increase approach angle) and not have to cut or destroy anything? |

Yes you can take he plastic off and yes you can get a 235 on there. You will have to move things around a little but nothing that cant be undone.. Kyle |

There is a write up of what to do somewhere her on the site... You basically just move the rear quarters a little to get em out of the way... Kyle |

Kyle, Thanks for the reply, I have that already, just thought there might be something else. Still not sure of the eventual size of the rubber. With no 'moveing things around' at all and HD OME springs largest size is? Thanks |

Stock , anything else is gonna touch.... If you are very lucky a 245 might just make it by but its not worth the potential damage to body not to just move the thing and get it over with. kyle |

Believe it or not, you probably won't be able to go any bigger if you don't cut or move the rear quarters. If have the OME HD springs all around & the Rovertym rear upper shock mounts with the Rancho 9234. Even with the stock tires, I got some rubbing in the rear. Just move the rears out, no big deal. Then 235/85/16 no problem. |

If you remove the front air dam, you will be left with the end caps. If you do not trim them, they will not look very attractive. If you remove the end caps, you will be left with a funky looking piece of sheetmetal hanging out there just waiting to catch somebody in a parking lot, making their attorney very happy and your insurance company very unhappy. As for the tires, if you don't want to trim, don't change tire size. I'm not sure about other profiles, or trucks other than Disco Series Is, but you sure can't fit 235/85-16 BFG A/T T/As without some modification to the rear fender wells. If you are going to the trouble of installing the springs, why are you frightened at the prospect of trimming some aluminum and plastic? If the trim is done very carefully, it is nearly imperceptible. I commonly have folks tell me that if they didn't know how it looked before, there would be no way they would be able to detect the trimming. Trimming of the end caps is equally simple. Use a fiber disc on the rear fenders mounted in a Dremel tool. For the front, a sawzall works wonders-it's a ten second job... Paul |

265/75-16 Interco Trxus. I fit these with the 2"OME lift. All I did was space out the rear quarter panels by 1" approx. The spacing job is literally 5min per side. Now I have a nice large tire in there without the tall skinny look. Keep in mind that the Trxus tire has a small tread width in comparison to the actual tire width, so that also helps with the problems encountered with turning radius and rubbing in the rear. how can you be Dr. Dirt and be afraid of a little trimming?? Beleive me, I was scared as hell to make my Disco look like those old Broncos you see with the mangled wheel wells. This is a simple job. And with some patience, direction from the Discoweb tech section, and one cold beer to calm your nerves, its and easy job. And like Paul said, with some forethought and planning, no one will be able to tell. |

You guys must be talking about DI's because I put 235-85-16's on my DII with Rovertym 2" with no trimming and no problems thus far. Am I missing something? |
