The other night while accelerating onto the interstate I noticed after gaining speed the vehicle began running rough and started missing. I stopped the vehicle and heard the engine struggling to run around 200 rpm. I turned off the engine towed it to dealer since check engine light came on. They did compression test and advised that number 4 cylinder had no compression possibly caused by bent exhaust valve which you all know I will have to take out mortgage I am paying 2500 dollars. My question is how is that possible? is the dealer taking advantage of me? Could a regular mechanic do repairs? Any help in this matter would be appreciated |
