Does anyone have any links or pics on changing front pads and rotors on a Disco1? I have never replaced pads and rotors before and could use a ton of help.
Thanks

No you don't. I promise you won't need any pictures or a manual. Just go change them. It's easier than a light bulb.

Honest.

I just called CarX to see what labor is on this job and they told me 4+ hours. They said they would cut me some slack and charge $200 (labor only) for the job. The guy I spoke to said that you have to remove all kinds of sh*t to get the rotors off. Like I said I am a retard, not to mention I don't have a floor jack or stands. I can rent stuff from AutoZone, but what do I need? I am only doing the front! P, you say that I just "change them." Are you saying just remove the wheel and I will see the light?
Thanks

Are you doing both the rotors and pads? If you are just doing the pads it is extremely simple and should take less then 10 mins a side. Rotors are a different story. How many miles on your truck, are you sure you need to replace the rotors?

Oh crap,

I missed the rotors part! Pads are easy, rotors are a just a BIT harder. :)

If the shop is willing to do rotors and pads for $200, let them do it. That's a fair price.

Rotors and pads...front only. I had them measured by LR and CarX, both say rotors are in need of replacing ASAP. The truck has 50k on it. I just purchased the Haynes Brake Manual at AutoZone...so wish me luck!

If you get into trouble, give a holler and I'll send you the schematics for how to disassemble your front hubs. You'll need a pair of circlip (snap-ring) pliers, and you should have a hubnut socket but a pair of big channellocks will do in a pinch.
