I have a 96'. I was in behind the instrument binnacle (speedo, tach, etc.) replacing a bulb and noticed that I have a loose yellow wire of small guage that looks like it may have broken loose from the back of the panel. Or maybe it came out of one of the multi-wire plugs back there? Incidentally, my SRS light has been blinking for some time. The dealership said it would still function, but to turn off the light I would have to buy a new SRS harness ($$$$). I'm wondering if this loose wire has something to do with tripping the SRS light - afterall, the SRS wires are all yellow ,right? Can anyone help me out? Anyone have a color picture of the back of their panel? Or have their's open right now, so as to take a peek for me? There's not that many yellow wires back there - maybe someone can describe where their yellow wires lead to? thanks in advance |

yeah I know - SRS / airbag. But where does this one go? Anyone have a single yellow wire attach somewhere on the back of the instrument/binnacle panel? |

Yellow is SRS (as evidenced by your blinking SRS light). You have to get in there and trace out the SRS wiring - that's the only way to find out where the loose one belongs. Check the SRS wiring to the fusebox - it's right up front and easy to get to. If that's not it, then you'll have to dig deeper. Anyone have a scanned SRS wiring diagram handy for Stephen? |

I have the Haynes and the Atlantic British manual - know if I could figure it out from either of these? (some of those diagrams look like ancient Greek to me!) |

Well - neither of those have a SRS diagram that's helpful. Anyone have a scanned version of one they could send me? |
