I have 2 1/2 inches of lift (Rovertym) and will be putting on 265/75 on GCR rims. Would 255/85 fit if I trimmed the hell out of the rear of the rear quarter panels or would you have to trim around the entire wheel well? With the exception of HD axels and 4.11, would I need anything else if that size is possible? Just curious. |

James I did the same lift along with Rovertym's body lift and did not have to trim the outside of the quarter panel at all(255/85-16), on factory wheels. I thought about GCR rims but I decided but stayed with stock. I would rather lose 2 feet of turing radius than cut the hell out of the quarter panel. I did have to notch and fold in about 4 inches in the bottom rear of the quarter panel, also, cut about a 2 inch diagonal cut of the front plactic air dam. The next thing on my list is a new bumper for the rear(the stock one now looks like a smile). |

didn't have to do additional trimming on my DI when going from 235/85's to 255/85's i'm still have stock gearing, and it doesn't bother me. when i trimmed, i trimmed about 1.5" back and about 12" arched up the Q.P.

Check out my photo gallery and the Tellico2 gallery under trails. The muds are 255/85-16 and the streets are 265/75-16. I moved the rear axle back 1" with longer lower links and an a-arm spacer. Minimal rear fender lip trimming. Just loosen the 10mm bolt on the lower front fender to spread out. I did "roll" the possible contact areas on the front and rear inner lip edges. |

Danno, Did you have to trim the front at all? My QP's are so thrashed anyway, I'd like to cut some off even if I don't have too. Is that an ARB bar? Did you have to trim the bar? Thanks, James |

nope. it's a TJM and no trimming needed in the front, just the usual steering stop adjustments. |
