Can you run stock rear springs on a 4 corners? Is this how the CB lift works? I am all stock sprung now, and if I just upgraded the front to rear stock springs that I could pick up from someone else, would the be the "proper" CB lift? If there is such a thing? haha. Thanks a lot guys.

You have to buy new heavy duty rear springs to acheive a lift in the back, when you use the stock rear springs in the front they work as heavy duty front springs and lift your truck. If you used stock rears all the way around you would only acheive lift on the front end which wouldn't be a good thing.

It is in theory possible to just add spacers to a set of stock rears in back. however, by the time you bought spacers and a second set of rears you could have some used OME 762s or maybe even new 762s or 2in rovertym rears,

Most people who have it like the CB lift, some don't, and some don't like it cause its cheap, its been beat to death in the achieves. In any case the worst you are out is the 45 minutes to swap in a different set of fronts if you are not satisfied.

Isaac Fain who runs a '91 rangie is doing the Cheapest Bastard lift. He will throw his rears in the front and my old Disco rears in the rear. To level it out he is going to make his own spacers--total cost will be about $20

Online Metals sells 4" aluminum rod cut to your specs which works as a spacer once you drill two holes. This is what I did to even out my OME setup.
