What is the easiest and the best way to mount the spare tire to the expedition roof rack? (The La Ruta Maya Rack) Thanks a lot. |

Clif, I've got a friend who pulled off the spare-tire carrier and mounted it on his roof-rack so he could carry his spare up there... ended up cracking the rack. It's a pain getting the spare down from there, too. If you need to carry a second spare, go for it, but otherwise I'd leave it on the backdoor.... my buddy ended up carrying his spare in his rear cargo area instead of on the rack, FWIW..... IMHO, YMMV.... -L |

tie down in the corner... that's the way I did it and never had a problem....wrap the tie down through the center of the rim and around the bar underneath then into the corner of the rack ..pull tight and done.... easy and quick |
