I'm just getting ready to buy a CB for my Disco and wanted to know what you guys use. Not really looking to spend a whole lot. Mainly for trail use, something with good sound, static free, etc. Preferbly not too huge in size either, there's not much room as is. Thanks for the advice. Any tips on mounting locations would be great also. 97' Disco |

I have the Cobra 75 model for the Disco .. All the controls are in the handset unit. It's also easy to install, compact, no muss - no fuss. hmmmm, seems like there was another thread discussing cb's & installation around the first part of May in the "General" discussion section. You might want to go there and give it a look. Kim |

If you're just looking for trail use, practically any CB radio will do. I personally use one of the small Uniden radios that I have wedged between the center console and the passenger seat that runs to an old magnetic antenna (thanks Trevor) on the roof. On-road reception is limited to a mile or so but this has been fine for convoy use on the trails. If trail use is the main use, then don't worry too much about the details and go with whatever you can afford. |
