I know this isn't a tech post, but figured more people would see it here.

I passed a green DI on hwy 23 yesterday at the redlight at intersection of 23 and Manyunk Road by Merion Memorial Park. The DI had a roof rack and appeared to have maybe a Safari Guard or Trek front end. Don't think it was Ron as Alyssa has stickers on her windows.

Just curious, as I was in the white DII with ARB on front, turning right to continue on hwy 23.

Greg, nope it wasn't me, as Ron and I were busy playing with the fluffy puppy yesterday. Since Ron busted out my window I haven't had a chance to re-sticker the drivers side of my car yet, though. ...and I'm scratching my head trying to figure out who it is, and I really can't think who it might be!

Why don't we set up a night in the future and get the philly crowd together. I bet it would make for some interesting entertainment. Maybe have it someplace intellectually stimulating, like Hooters. :)

Just thinking aloud.......

I would be willing to hang out if you can figure something out.

Some people are going to Robesonia for a shop day on Sunday, Dave and Lyle have some crazy garage space plus I bet dave will let you drive in the yard if you ask nice :). Lyle is doing a CB lift if anyone wants to see how a spring swap goes. Also a 95 LWB should be getting a full service.

Most everything thats going on in the area goes through the R.O.V.E.R.S. email list. I am sure there will be a convoy to the OLVR birthday party and I know there are a couple of car shows (some of us like parking muddy series trucks next to vintage bentley and rolls). As the pres says the season is upon us :)

Well, Chris, could have been you, but I didn't see the gotmud sticker on the side. This DI didn't have lights on the roof if that makes a difference. At any rate, just always neat to know who your chatting with.

Paul, as far as a stimulating night of intelectual fun at the christian science reading room (read HOOTERS), I'm up for it.

Hmm I saw a similar(or the same) truck today on my street. I was in my truck, and we both stopped at opposing stop signs looking right at each other. I flashed a big smile and waved, and he just looked at me like I'd lost it. It was an older gentleman in a madras shirt. NOW I WANT TO KNOW WHO IT WAS!!!

Alyssa,

That happened to me the other day. I don't know who it was either. I was around King of Prussia at the time, I think on Arlington. Funny since I've had FreelXXders wave back, and fellow Disco drivers sometimes don't get it.

I live in the Phily area, if you guys are having a get together in the fine french resteraunt Hooters (pronounced Ho-te-ayes) I wouldn't mind coming. That is, if you would let me come along...

Heres to being a "waver", Cheers,

Kennith

Hey Folks, I'll be back in town on the 10th. I am in LA this weekend and then off to North Carolina after that.

I didn't know Hooters was french! :)

Well, lets do it then. I woke up this morning, Saturday, to discover that there was a vintage car show outside my front door. I live in downtown Conshohocken and had no clue that there was major car show going on here today. The streets for 12 blocks were shut down and there were all sorts of cars. I took pics that I will post but unfortunately they were on "actual" film so I need to get developed first. No Rovers though, so I was disapointed.

So, am I understanding correctly that we are trying to put a get together together for next weekend, or when?????

:)

Saturday the 15th sounds good to me. Which Hooters? The one in King of Prussia? Or are there others?

State College? That's not exactly close to Philly, now is it? About 180 miles from my house in Conshohocken I believe.

I'm not sure I could drive 180 miles home after hanging out at Hooters on a Saturday afternoon! "read drinking lots of beer and consuming chicken" :)

See.... if the thread was called "Green DI in State College Yesterday, Who was it?" then life would be good. LOL But State college is a tad far for a Hooters trip from Philly area. Especially since there is one right in KOP. However, keep in mind there are a bunch of philly gal Rover owners that may not be keen on Hooters as a meeting place.

Well, put together a convoy of those philly gal rover drivers to go to State College with us and I could be convinced to go. However, I'm sure we will have to spend the weekend there with the rover gals and lacrosse team. :)

I would always be more amenable to a Saturday night (and not a Friday) since I have to work every Saturday. I suppose I could even deal with Hooters, maybe...? Unless of course you don't want any Land Rover employees in your presence...

By all means, we would love to have you an Ron join us....... I think it would be fun to congregate a half dozen or so rovers in the parking lot on a saturday night and let everyone else wonder whats going on.

Hey Folks, just checking in. I just got back from LA and am packing for my NC flight in the morning. Isn't there a Hooters somewhere around Dave & Busters? Of Course you are welcome to join us Alyssa!

Why is this thread still here?

KOP is a mile from my house so that one is closest for me but the one in philly we could be at under 30 minutes on a weekend. The problem with that one is thye have a parking garage and I dont know if my rovers will fit. LOL

If that's the case, I'm sure we should go to KOP. I can no longer park at the airport garage, the conshy marriott garage, or anywhere so far in downtown. I only have the RTE 2" and 235's so I'm probably only sitting about 3.5" taller than stock. I couldn't get into the conshy marriott sitting stock without hitting the height marker.

My vote is for KOP. Plus, I was out there this past Sunday afternoon and the crew looked adequate for the task. :)

Don't forget stickers for shameless advertisement. A few stickers strategically placed can go a long way. :)

Jason and Sydney, are you guys going to make the Trek up for the action?

Sorry, I've been BUSY BUSY BUSY with these new Range Rovers at work! No time to check posts. I theoretically get off at 4, but I usually end up busy with customers until about 6. So count on me being late, but I do want to come!

Ok, I made a big sacrifice for the group and went by Hooters this afternoon to make sure the place was still fit for our meeting next Saturday. Important update:

On Saturday Afternoons they have a Hooters Girls car wash. I got my rover washed for a bargain price of $10 plus tip......

Anyway, if anyone wanted to get there earlier, you could get your rover washed by hooters girls in bikini's for $10.

Cheers,
Greg
