Well, for anyone else noticing this mysterious appearance of black grease spots on your sunroof's trim ring cloth, I finally figured out where it's coming from. The retractable screens pick it up somehow and when you close the screen it is putting grease on the cloth when it touches. I've been having grease show up on my front sunroof on the passenger side and for 5 months have been trying to figure out how it got there. Yesterday I noticed a new mark directly after closing the screen and dahdah....... Now, how do we get rid of it and fix the source? |

Spray some brake cleaner on a clean rag, wipe clean. Works great at cleaning up just what you are talking about. That is how I do it. Tom |

It doesn't smear the grease or cause it to bleed into the surrounding cloth? |

Nope. It removes it quite nicely. If you are unsure, try wiping on a little area to test colorfastness. Tom |
