I have seen a lot of negative posts about Scorpions on this site without explicit reference to which model. I have used the Scorpion A/T on my wife's Rangie for a couple years now and it is an excellent on/off road tire that happily runs 85mph down the freeway, rock crawls to the ability of truck, excels on snow and ice but just doesn't like deep mud. I have just recently switched my 500 Cad powered Discovery over to Scorpion Muds and I couldn't be happier. I switched from MT/Rs and I would not go back. The MT/Rs are an excellent mud tire but I was underwhelmed with their rock crawling ability and they are downright dangerous in winter conditions, they go alright but have absolutely zero braking ability when it gets really cold. |

I posted the particulars and a link to my website with all the pictures some time back on this board. However due to the implosion of the @home network my personal website disappeared. I finally got up and running with MSN powered by Qwest DSL but I haven't had time to set up my webspace and get the pictures rescanned and uploaded. |
