I am about to install a full system in my 98 discovery with a pretty big amp. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good existing location to run the power cable through the firewall to the battery. If there isn't one, where can I drill one? |

Perhaps some of the Disco 1 guys can elaborate on this, but I ran my amp power cables in my Disco 2 through holes in the firewall that were sealed by a rubber grommet. I just had to punch a hole in the grommet and the cable ran through perfectly The holes were located on both th left and right sides of the truck on the firewall. I ran mine through the hole on the passenger (right) side by taking out the glovebox |

I couldn't find a real good existing place to run my power cable through (I didn't spend alot of time looking either), so I ended up drilling a hole on the passenger side right above where the large factory harness goes through. Just be sure to use a grommet! Good luck! David |
