Hope someone can help. My kids were playing with the radio while there was no key in the ignition and the security feature kicked in; as it has before and asked for the code. If I punch in the code it works fine but then after about 5 minutes it will shut off. It seems as if it might be losing power for just a second but that would be strange to coincide with my kids playing with it. Any thoughts? |

When it asks for the code again, turn it off. Then with the engine off (or on, your preference) turn the radio on and let it display CODE for an hour or so without touching it (keep the kids in the house or pool or whatever) and then enter the code. That's what it wants you to do if you enter the code incorrectly more than 3 times. Could be a glitch that might work itself out this way. You think one of the buttons is mashed in? Ron Ward |
