My clock light blew, and while I was replacing it I happen to notice that my AC control knobs don't glow anymore. I checked my fuses and all were good, am I crazy or should there be illuminated icons around the AC controls? I f so how does one change out that light? |

Lights around the A/C controls? In a D1? I've owned this thing about 6 months and just assumed it didn't have any. Let me know if there is a bulb or something under there that I can replace. Thanks.. RS |

On a related note what about the gear indicator for the automatic? Are they supposed to be back lit? Thanks |

There is a single light bulb in the back that lights it all up. Mine went bad too and replaced it. It is kind of a pain to get to, but is doable. The hard part for me was disconnecting the heater cables that are connected to the back of the controls. You might want to see if someone has directions from a shop manual they can send you. I just started taking things apart. I hope this helps. |

I thought mine went out also, but with a forcefull "technical tap" on the top of the dash, it starts to work again. Even my wife has it down to 1 tap now. |
