1. What fluid should I use for my power steering?
2. Where can I get the pinion seal for my 3rd member?

1.power steering fluid (i have heard of using •••••• fluid but just go to an auto store and get some good power steering fluid you will be ok)

DO NOT USE PS FLUID!!!!!
Use ATF
discountrovers/dealer/Roversnorth make sure to get genuine.

Diff'rent Ron here, but the dadgum owners manual says ATF - Dextron III in the power steering reservoir.

all zf pumps take ATF as far as i'v seen. MB BMW why not rover??? |

I have no opinion on hydraulic fluid, I never even considered it. I just use ATF, why would you want to use hydraulic fluid?
Muskyman and RonWard are correct manual says ATF. Bad Juju to use PS fluid.
