Just wondering what people are getting in terms of lift with RoverTym on their Disco II? I currently have OME's and with the ARB and X9 SuperWinch I'm getting an actual 1" lift. Hardly worth it to me. I know people have said they're getting 2" with the OME but for some reason I'm not and even from OME's published information I should be getting no more than 1 1/2". So I was just wondering if the RoverTym 2" springs are really 2"? I don't know if I want to go to the 3" springs since I have ACE. Any thoughts, comments? |

We just recently fitted a set of RTE 1" springs to a DII. We ended up at 2 1/4 at the front and 1 1/4" at the rear. This vehicle has no winch or other accessories. John at RTE has his springs wound to give a true lift after stuff is fitted to the vehicle. This also means that a vehicle withoutstuff, will sit higher than the rated lift. We did fit OME MD for approximately 1" lift on an 'unladen' on this DII. We will refit the RTE stuff after John is producing bumpers for the DII. John has one of our customer DII's at his shop to fabricate a prototype Slimline A-frame winch bumper. Pictures to follow... Trevor Griffiths Treasured Motorcar Services Reisterstown, Maryland |

It's been posted on here before by a number of people but you will find that the RTE Springs offer a very conservative rating. The 2" springs on a relatively stock vehicle tend to raise it about 3 inches. The conservative rating is there to compensate for bumpers, sliders, winch, etc and possible sag. On top of all that John at RTE stands behind his products and has a great record of customer service. |
