I purchased OME HD springs a couple of months ago. I didn't replace the shocks on the advice of a local rover mechanic(not a stealership mechanic). After I installed the springs I began to hear knocking in the rear suspension during articulation. Today I finally figured out the problem. As soon as I heard the knock, I stopped and got out to inspect. Of course nothing looks "wrong" to me. I'd tried this a dozen times, but this time I lifted up on the back bumper to make it "bob". The rear shock was becoming fully extended just as the rear tire was getting light on the ground. Maybe this is because I got the HD springs. I'm not sure. At any rate, this is a GREAT excuse to get new shocks . . . Which shocks better compliment the OME HD springs? I assume the OME shocks will do the job, but I know you guys have plenty of opinions on this match. BW |
