Okay, I've read as many past posts as possible but can't find anything on it. I want to wire my Hellas up to A factory aux lamp switch. I know which pins are for specific things but I need to make the connection from the Hellas. The Hellas have two yellow wires connected via a male/female connector to one turn /twist switch. Anyone have a diagram on connecting/re-wiring? Thanks. |

I feel your pain bud. Scrap that hella switch you got with the factory wiring harness. There was a prior post on discoweb about which pin to connect which wire to. Next you need to find the wiring harness. I couldn't find this anywhere and I didn't want to sabotage my other switches. I used shrink wrap to make connects for the end of the wires and delicately placed then in factory switches I bought from atlantic british. If you're careful, and put your dashboard back together careful, everything will work out great. Very clean look to use the land rover switches, and easy to turn off and on. |

I was looking around the electrical section of an Auto Zone (I think). I found some small metal connectors that fit perfectly over the pin tab on the back of LR switch. Soldered a wire to each and plugged them into the appropreat spot, taped the wires together: custom wireharness. If you guys are in the NYC area I'd be happy to show you the results. Carl |

Carl I'd like to use the switch for the factory foglights for my extra Hella high high beams. How difficult would it be to change the feed from low to high beam on a DII? So when I activate my highs the extra go on and off. Thanks Carl |

If I understand your question: You have the current DII fog lights that shut OFF when you turn your high beams on, you would like to replace the lights and have them switch ON when the High beams are on!!?? I personaly do not like altering the stock electric system (remember we're talking Lucas here). I prefer to build a deticated circuit. I would recommend leaving the fogs and getting another switch for the brights. Run a relay of the highbeam so they activate the new lights. Carl Hope I understood you correctly |
