After a recent collision, I need a new front and rear bumper. I'm considering a bumper from TJM called a TJ17. It is a none bar version of their TJ15 bumper. Has anyone ever seen it? The dealers have no pictures of it and the website isn't great.

Thanks
Carl

EE has a great display of the TJM rear bumper.

I was just there. Can't find the TJ17 on a DiscoII or a Disco I for that matter...

I was told to just picture the T15 w/out the bar and that's what it looks like.

Hehehe, that is what I was told as well. That might work for some, but I'm not sure I can buy a bumper unseen.

I had a chance to check out a TJM rear today in person. This one had seen some serious abuse, and it looked good (very scratched up, but otherwise straight and whole).

"carl, its' just a bumper. "

I know, but it is my first bumper and I want the experience to be perfect. You never forget your first bumper... :)

Does the TJM rear bumper reduce departure angle? Or is the hitch still the first to hit?

Just a bumper? That's what I though until I installed my ARB airbag. I wish I had done more research. I survived the purchase with about $10 worth of welding.

The bumper in question is a front bumper. I'm looking forward to not have to worry about the low front bumper lip and those pretty fog lights..:)

TJM doesn't have a rear bumper for the DII, but they say that one is coming soon. I won't make a decision on a rear bumper until I see it. I'm sure the trailer hitch will still have to go if you want a better angle.

4x4connections has an OK picture of the aluminium version under the Toyota subsection of TJM bumpers.

Thanks Clif
