I think I've decided to get the following(from EE)for my 95 Disco: -Ome 751 front springs -OmE 762 rear springs -OME n45f front shocks -OME n46 rear shocks A. I plan to install a winch B. I intend to tow a car from time to time. C. I don't want my wife to complain that it rides too rough. 1- Is this the best set-up for my needs? 2- Will my stock shocks work with the new springs for a while? 3- Will I need a steering stabilizer? Thanks! Neal |

neal, see now that you decided you should confirm your choice with John lee or ho over at EE that way the guys that have to back the product get to say if you made a wize choice based on your description of use and future plans. if someone here says your right and you get it and its wrong then who's fault is it? I believe that the last word before go needs to always be between the buyer and the seller good luck |

I have a '95 Disco and recently changed to OME springs. I have the 751/762 setup. I did however go with bilstein shocks in order to obtain the smoothest possible road ride. By opting for the billie's over the OME's I lose travel, but gain in ride. I planned on spending the majority of time onroad, as opposed to off, being that it's a daily driver. I couldn't be happier with the ride onroad, big improvement. I don't know yet how it handles off road but I look forward to finding out. a) You plan on installing a winch? Is it going to be mounted to the stock bumper or aftermarket bumper? Either way your probably best with the 751's c) You don't want your wife to complain that the rides too rough? I've heard that the OME's are very smooth as well, firm but not rough. My girlfriend is '5 2" and she hasn't stopped complaining about the increase in height. I also removed the side steps at the same time so it was a big difference from the sagging original springs. Neal good luck, and at least you made the right decision about where to get the stuff. I bought my setup right after I got my truck and didn't know about EE or DWeb. I've heard great things about EE and I really believe they serve us well by supporting the DWeb and offering great product info. I look forward to giving them my business in the near future as well. |

Should work well. The only real way to tell if you need a steering damper is to take it off and see if it still is smooth and has adequate resistance. While not directly related to lifting a truck a good steering damper is more important on a lifted truck as castor is decreased. I would consider relocating your steering damper to the front if you are going to buy a new one. Ron P personal experience disclaimer: Alyssa (my wife's) disco has been on OME HD springs since the dawn of time, both with woodheads (stock shocks) and later with the warn/rancho set up on there now. Both with no extra weight and with extra weight on front and towing 5000lbs+ on a trailer. I have had to replace said steering damper a couple times due to breaking it offroad and now have a rovertym relocation kit |
