I think I saw , either on discoweb or pirate, someone who made his own sliders and posted what he used, dimensions and the instalation. I am interested in sliders but don't like any of the current designs.(rovertym, Mantec, $guard, DAP, AB or BA?)Yuo get the point. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tim |

Good question Al. Anon, you just mentioned some of the best companies. Is this a money issue? if it is thats understandable. $400-600 for sliders is steep, but they have some of the best designs. |

That was the link I was looking for, thanks Neal. I think that the doors need to be protected more, I'll try to use the info on the hidden sliders and add the door protection I want. Most of the designs don't do that. I know that Rovertym has good door protection but I don't like the way they look. If I'm going to pay some $500 for something as non glorious as sliders they better look good. I bought a Disco because I had a Jeep. I'm not going to pay to make it look like one. Thanks everybody for the responce. |

If you're looking for stealth sliders just get the RoverTym sliders without the 4" step as I did. Personally I didn't want the step because I think it's just a bad idea for sliders that aren't bolted to the frame since the extra 4" works like a lever and twists the slider on the aluminium sill. But then again if I had the 4" on the side I wouldn't have tagged the door with that stump. |

Dean Brown made his own sliders. Maybe the same as the link above. |
