I'll be moving from San Jose-CA to Boston-MA in July. Rather than to fly, I'm planning to drive all the way, about 3000 miles with my Disco II. I have a Toyota Corolla that I'm thinking of towing with me.. dont know if it's worth it.. or I'll just ship it overthere by train.. I know my Disco II is very capable of towing this small car, but dont know if it's worth it, considering with wear tear to my Disco II. Please give me your inputs. Thanks.

Check on the price of shipping a car by train.... I think towing would be cheaper, by far.

Thing is, if you want to make a trip of it, see the sights, towing the car behind would be a pain in parking lots, etc....

I'd consider one of the truck-type auto transports, it'd be far cheaper than a train, I think, and save you the bother.

Mi dos centavos, FWIW....

Kiem,

Rent a UHaul to carry some of your other stuff and have a friend drive it and tow the corolla that way.

Thanks for your inputs.. After all, i'm putting up the Corolla 4sale, only if I can get it sold in 3 weeks.. Would probably purchase another one when I get settled in.

Chris, I'll be there between 6/29 - 6/30.. If youre in the area, what kind of road condition is Boston during winter; Snowy, icy?? Any mountains for boarding? Would my DiscoII be suitable there? Thanks for the link.

Ken,
1992.. 90,000 miles, AT, A/C.. just installed a Clarion CD player (detachable faceplate), 4 Michellin tires at 80,000 miles, keyless entry remote. The interior is very clean, and so exterior is nice too. Kelly BB says 4750... I want to sell it for 3600 OBO.. let me know if you're interested. [email protected]

Carl, thanks. Im looking forward to living there - definely would make good use of my DiscoII.
