I need a little help. I was reading one of those 4-wheel drive magazines the other day and in the back of it there was a company that made wheel spacers. I think the price was $60 for each. I know Rovertym has them, but they are just to much $$. I have 255/85 and I lost to much turning radius. I was hoping spacers would save me. |

They told me that they don't make them for LR also. I made my own spacers which are 3/16" thick for the exsisting studs. If you use 1" spacers, then the tires will foul the bodywork. Aluminum is more expensive than you think, and you have to pay for machining time also. So Rovertym's price is good. Another possibillity is to get those Compmotive AT wheels that are in all the LR magazine ads. The oem LR alloys have 5.375" backspacing, the Compmotive ATs have 4.90" backspacing. So you would move the tires .475" outboard by using these wheels. Compmotives cost about 99 pounds each. Randall |
