Looking at hoses, they are covered with the fluid, should I replace the hoses or it is something else? Thanks

Had the leaking hoses fixed once (yes they were leaking), the next time the "leak" appeared it was my JACK. Droped all its oil. Have to get around to trying to fix it this week. Just a thing to check.

have you tried tightening the hose clamps on the bottom of the reservior (with a ratchet, not a screwdriver)? they are notorious for leaking

Hi, I have a 96 also. Do I need to replace all the hoses or just that particular one? The hose kit at AB is like $200.00.

I had the same problem on my '97 D1. I bought aircraft hose clamps and tightened them massively. No more leaks. VERY common problem, lots of talk on this board about it.

I wish mine had been hoses. 95 turned out lower output shaft bearings were shot letting the shaft woble in the seal and no amount of Lucas will fix.

Clean completely and park over clean cardboard. If drip is from stering unit it may be hoses. If drip is from lower output shaft, find Meridian in San Diego.

Start with the clamps. I just had mine replaced on my 96 Disco I and the leaks have disappeared.

The clamps are generally the problem. Check the archives. Only occasionally is it the bearings or seals.

Tim,

Where did you buy the clamps? What is the part number? Thanks
