Hoping some one can help me with this... I recently bought a set of LR HD Front and Rear Springs from an individual. They measure 15.5" and 16.25" tall and both are 5/8" diameter wire. On the smaller set there is a LR sticker that reads: 1 x NRC9448 and No. 20765

I started to put them on last night and when I got my rear springs off, I noticed that they are the exact same height and wire diameter as the HD's that I bought. My question is are these really HD's?

Thanks!

But doesn't land rover make HD springs that are the same height as stock?

Yes. On the DSII, HD font springs are available that give a stock ride height. They are actually the same stock springs used on the Td5. I'm not aware of any HD rear springs.

Mr Frizzel

NCR9448 blue/red strip was used on the 110 HD front drivers side, and on the rear of some D90s. It is about 10% stiffer than the stock Disco spring, and longer if you use two(because stock spring was shorter on the passenger side).

If it were me...I would go ahead and try them and use some spacers to adjust the final height. You can always move these springs to the front later if you decide to go with stiffer springs in the rear.

Thanks for the feedback. I am going to put the 9448's on the front and put the larger set on the rear and hope it works out!
