When I put it on my DII, I asked the dealer if it could handle the stress of a recovery. They said yes. But I decided to ask you guys as well, is it strong enough? I think it could be, because before buying the bumper I got stuck almost halfway up the doors in mud and a bunch of friends pulled me out by using the stock front recovery point. Thanks for your help!! |

The bar is strong enough for a mild recovery, but it has a tendency to rotate upward and mash the front of the hood. Carl |

Use the largest bolts possible to mount it. This will help some with the rotation. The bolts that came with the one I had on my D1 were smaller than the holes in the frame and allowed it to rotate. Rico |

The bolts that come on the DSII are okay to use but in deep mud I would use your rear hitch before the front brush bar. That is, if it was an option. |
