Does anyone have this similar problem?
I dont know if this is a venting problem or what. That fluid really smells bad.

I recently purchased cheap washer fluid at an Exxon gas station, and it would literally knock you down it was so strong. My suggestion to you would be to simply waste as much as possible and dilute it down with water. I diluted mine and now you can hardly smell it when you wash the window.. Peace.. RS

If you dilute it with water, then water isnt good enough to wipe stuffs off the windshield. I'm mainly concerned with some vent that permeates through the cabin, dont know if this is a LR flaw.

It's not just LR. I've owned many cars that do this and all 3 of my current vehicles do this. This includes Nissan, Mazda, BMW, Land Rover, and MB.

Kiem,

Mine(D2) does the same thing. It freaked me out the first time I encountered it. It was REALLY strong.

I'm not sure how it gets in either. This is the first vehicle I've driven that had this problem. Contrary to Al's experience, my Nissan and Benz never had a problem with this.

One solution to this problem is to close the vent. Turn on the cooling unit, hit the Circulation button.

In other vehicles, you dont have to deal with this. Even my older Disco97 didnt have this problem. I guess it's a flaw. :(

I have the same problem with my D2. I talked to my local LR dealer and they said this is a flaw in the vent system. They recommended hitting the circulation button for a few seconds to close all the vents in the engine compartment.

It seems to work....kind of...
