My familie's experience with LR Charlotte has been a good one (to say the least). They are very honest when it comes to repairs. A prime example was when our exhaust went out on our disco. The guy TOLD us to go to a muffler shop since it would cost much more to have them fix it. Another time they cleaned out one of our remotes for no charge. Very nice people.

I would suggest that you try to learn how to work on your own vehicle, it seems to be cheaper and more rewarding (I predomanantly work on my Series 3).

Justin, I purchased my vehicle at an auction, yet the dealership has treated me like I bought it there. They have been very honest and forthright. Just this week I found grease on my left rear brake disc. I took it in, they gave me a loaner, and replaced both rear hubs under warranty. Doesn't sound like much, but when you consider all the mods I've made to my rig, they could have easily said the large tires, etc. etc. were the culprit. Hell, they even like my CDL that I put on my DSII and asked how I did it. They are enthusiasts and it shows. Highly recommended!

Thanks a bunch for the help, I do enjoy working on my truck when I can, I just moved here and I just wanted to hear what everyone else thought of them before I took the truck in for a checkup -- actually I saw that the Check engine light just lit up, and I just wanted them to check it. I also really dig the free car wash they give whenever you pay 95 dollars for a diagnostic fee.

Justin,

Same experience here with Charlotte Rover. They have been upfront and helpful. The best thing to do though is like Max says and learn to do it yourself.

I have spent the past several years doing just that and saving big bucks! Any help you need can usually be found on this site.

I was just up in Charlotte for school this week. Service department people were upfront and quick to assist when I mentioned some sputtering that had been intermitently happening on my way up there. LR Columbia is very good in this regard as well. Probably too far of a drive for you, but as they are nearer to me, I'll mention them as well.

Land Rover Charlotte is an "Excellent" Dealership. I live in N. Wilkesboro, NC and own 2 Land Rover Disco's. I purchased my 98 Disco LSE from Bear Valley Land Rovers in Atlanta,GA and Land Rover Charlotte(Service Advisors-Sean & Donnie, and Service Manager-Brad)have always treated me with respect, very honest,up front and given me "Excellent" Service. They wash your LR after each service visit-(Cool after a weekend of 4X4ing). I was so impressed with the service I purchased a 2002 Disco Kalahari from Land Rover Charlotte(Larry Williams-Sales Guide). The only bad thing about Land Rover Charlotte is the Labor Cost for service-very expensive! But like they say you get what you pay for! I am a satisfied customer of Land Rover Charlotte and do recommend them for Sales and Service. The staff members that I have met there Own/Drive Land Rovers!

Thanks for all the input....the service was great, and the car wash was definately needed! The only bad part of the whole experience was the fact that my catalyctic converter is going and they told me I need a new one....D'OH! I'm going to price it out on the internet but is this a project I can do myself? Thanks for all the input.
