any ideas to what may be causing my dash lights and my daytime front driving lights to come on when I apply brakes. When I have my headlights on, the dash lights work perfectly. But when I have the headlights off and I apply the brakes, the dash lights and front driving ligths come on....any ideas? |

Just a guess, but make sure your brakelight bulbs are seated correctly. David |

check to make sure that you have the proper brake light parking light combo. I had the same problem when I put the wrong bulb in. |

Also check the connectors on the rear window defroster. The wiring connects to the foil for the defrost and is flexible. If it has been rubbed by somebody or something in the cargo area, it was cause a fault. The high mounted brake light is also fed in this manner, so it can backfeed through the defrost wiring when you step on the pedal. I have seen this twice in the shop, so I hope it helps. Trevor |
