For making some DII sliders there is something in the way on the drivers side. A tray with a slot in it is welded to the frame underneath the drivers side. Looks like you could put a kleenex box on it upside down and grab yourself a tissue. Anyone know what purpose this serves, or can it be hacked off? Thanks, Tom |

Tom, if your looking at what I think you are, it is the mounting point for part of the SLS system. You've got good timing. I was under my DII (with SLS) just today and wanted to know what the heck the black box mounted under my driver side door was. Opened it and found what looks like the air compressor for the SLS "air bags". Also John at Rovertym once mentioned something to me about adding a "notch" to the DII rock sliders if SLS is installed. Hope it helps. Has anyone ever looked into using the SLS compressor for other uses? Rick |

that what it is. they all have it ( looks like a shelf). I'm just trying to figure out what i can use it for. I got the ACE, but no SLS. |
