Got some spring cones and they make a pretty loud noise when I go over speed bumps and such....even at a crawl. Is this the norm or should I try to reposition the cone!

Matt-
Check for clearance between the bottom of the cone and the lower spring perch on full compression. A friend's discovery came in contact there after the RTE 1" spacers and drop kit. There does not seem to be a lot of room there with his springs. 762's I believe. I've tried to convince him for 3" springs instead of 2"ers and a spacer, blah blah..

IM running 3 inch springs....they have plenty of room on full compression. They just make noise when i go really slow over a speed bump. Any ideas?

You sure it is not the shock bushings/mounts?

Loosen the cone and tap around in the upper spring tower. The locating upper shoulder in the cone has enough play in its relation to the hole in the upper tower that if not located centrally the spring will be rubbing against the cone base as the spring moves. Why not ask the vender?

Also make sure you have them installed correctly. You should be looking at the web brace from the outside of the wheel. The cone shape faces the inside of the truck. Recently a customer installed them in backwards and they made the car appear to have sag and were noisy because they were in backwards.Craig, I make these in 3 different lenghts to compensate for what your friend experienced.

We I beleive he was asking here bacause many here have them. If the many here that have them had responded he would have gotten some decent data back,,,,correct ?
